New Protocols To Protect Our Customers And Our Employees

Our Priority is Keeping our Customers and Employees Safe

At TJ’s Plumbing and Heating, Inc, it is our priority to keep our employees and their families healthy.  As the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) continues to spread globally, TJ’s Plumbing and Heating, Inc is taking appropriate precautions to address the outbreak by following guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and OSHA.

What Steps Are We Taking?

Effective March 16th, 2020, TJ’s has begun taking steps to ensure we do everything we possible can to limit exposure to our customers and employees.  Our goal is for everyone to stay healthy and safe throughout this crisis.

Effective immediately:

  • We are practicing social distancing.  Our lead technicians and apprentices will not be in the same vehicle.
  • Our employees have been instructed to use disinfecting wipes to enter and exit their vehicles and customers homes.
  • If anyone is not feeling well, they are being instructed to stay home.
  • A new set of gloves will be worn for each new service call.
  • We will be limiting unnecessary physical interaction with customers.
  • All invoicing will need to be paid via email with PayPal link or credit card on the phone for the near future.  Our services are still COD.
  • All employees  have been instructed to wash hands with disinfecting wipes before and after all calls.
  • Use a disinfecting wipe to open doors and close doors.
  • Our employees have been instructed to clean trucks, steering wheels, keys and everything they touch constantly.

TJ’s Will Continue To Be Available To Service Our Customers

We are serious about protecting your health and the health of our employees so we need to ask the following questions before we schedule service and we may re-verify this information with you before we arrive, if your visit is not scheduled on the same day of our initial inquiry.
Questions we may ask?
    1. Is anyone in your home sick or showing signs of the virus? If yes, and we can not enter your home without interaction, we need to decline service.
    2. Is there a way for us to service your equipment without entering your living space?

These Are Trying Times

We feel confident that if we all do our part and be responsible, we can get through this.

We will continue to monitor the situation and make appropriate changes, as needed.

ERVs For Air Exchange

An ERV is an Energy Recovery System.  A whole-home energy recovery ventilator (ERV) will exchange stale, polluted indoor air with fresh, clean outdoor air throughout your entire home without wasting energy. That means a healthier, more comfortable indoor environment for your family and savings on your heating and cooling bills.

There are many benefits to installing a ventilation system:

  • It improves health by reducing allergens;
  • It provides fresh oxygen;
  • It helps eliminate some gases emitted by building materials of newer homes;
  • It reduces extra moisture from our everyday activities, such as showering; and
  • It keeps the home safe – homeowners will not need to keep windows and screen doors open to get fresh air into their homes because their ventilation systems will do it instead.  This is especially important during pollen season!

TJ’s has what you need to install a whole house ERV.
